Who Is Drew Dudley?
“Your presentations have impacted my life in more ways then you can even imagine. You have given me direction, and a new sense of what I want in life.” - T.V., Grade 12
From packed arenas for keynote addresses, to small skill-building workshops with teams of four to six, Drew Dudley has made audiences laugh, cry and understand the extraordinary ability we all have to have a postive impact on our own lives and on the lives of others.
The former Director of one of Canada's largest and most dynamic university leadership programs, Drew is committed to never becoming "just a speaker". Instead, he continues to work full-time as an educator, manager, project planner and curriculum developer for organizations around Canada, the US, and even overseas as the Founder and Chief Catalyst of Nuance Leadership Inc. By ensuring he faces new leadership challenges every day, he ensures his words come from experience and practice.
Drew embraces the idea that “leadership cannot really be taught. It can only be learned.”
“I’ve never thought of what I do as ‘teaching’ leadership,” says Drew. “For me, it’s always been about trying to find a way to help others explore the concept – what it means to them, and to their communities.”
A professional speaker, writer, educator and entrepreneur, Drew has helped raise over $3 million as the Founder or Chair of several organizations dedicated to supporting scholarship funds, social entrepreneurship, and charitable initiatives, including a record-breaking term as the National Chair of Canada’s largest fundraiser for post-secondary students, “Shinerama: Students Fighting Cystic Fibrosis”.
Drew has spoken to almost 100,000 people in Canada, the US, and the Middle East, and has three times been invited to present at the prestigious TEDx series of events.
His work with students and some of Canada's largest corporations and government agencies has led to him being called “one of the most motivating and inspiring speakers on leadership out there right now” (Dr. Brian Harrington, Oxford University).
Corporations, charities and non-profits can benefit from Drew’s experiences as a professional fundraiser and non-profit coordinator, as well as his unique take on the importance of seeing the world of work not as a competition for scarce resources, but a “place of abundance”, with few limits on the level of satisfaction and accomplishment we can help each other achieve. Drew’s interactive workshops can help you build your team and better understand the barriers of communication in your office, while his keynotes can inspire every member of your organization to greater productivity and happiness.
Drew has delivered hundreds of keynotes at high schools, universities and colleges, and has appeared at countless student leadership conferences and retreats. Or perhaps you're interested in offering a specific workshop or two to your student Board of Directors, Executive team, or your campus clubs? As someone who has led several national youth and charity organizations, Drew understands the unique challenges faced by student organizations, not-for-profits, and groups having to work with limited financial and/or human resources. This allows him to ensure his workshops are tailored to the reality of your organization.
In short, Drew doesn't just want to inspire you to be better and to make your organization more effective, he wants to show you how! Of course, the best people to comment on his effectiveness are his audiences, so be sure to check out some of the testimonials about Drew's work!
